APL Shoes - The Only Shoe Banned By The NBA

Its been said.. this beauty here is officially ban by the NBA because of its ability to drastically increase the basketball players performance.. one such as increasing their vertical jump.

In fact, this was the very first time the NBA has endorse such a move... and this will surely send many basketball fans and players rushing to see what this shoe can really do to help them jump higher.

This is because, apart from the NBA, this shoe has not been banned anywhere else or in other leagues such as the NCAA.

According to the recorded statistics, the testers who tried the shoes has seen an increase of up to 3.5 inches from their vertical jump.. which.. is an impressive number.

3.5 inches is a difference between dunking a ball and just grabbing the rim. It is the difference between a mere block to totally owning it...

However, despite its rave and power, this APL concept 1 shoe does not come cheap... it cost $300 just to own one of these babies.

How The APL Concept Shoes Work

The APL concept 1 shoes work through a principle they call "load and launch".

Here is how the shoes are being designed:

Below the shoes, at the front, there is a device attached to it, and this device captures the force or power whenever an athlete starts to jump.

Notice that whenever you start your jump, you will raise your heel, thereby increasing and pushing more force to the front of your feet. That is where the device is located.. and the more power you exert into the flow, the "loading" phase becomes more compressed, thus, enabling it to generate an enormous amount of energy.

The fact that the compression allows the device to rebound back as you jump, it further increases your vertical jumping ability to as high as 3.5 inches for a normal basketball players... (according to what they say. In fact, there has been claims that it can add an extra 8 inches to professional athletes)

Because of the hype surrounding these shoes, Sports Illustrated's Chris Ballard has been assigned to test out these amazing shoes.

The Conclusion Of The Amazing APL Concept 1 Shoes

As you can see from the video, this does not seem to work for Chris but yet does very well for the second tester.

In conclusion, this shoe does work for some people, while others may not necessarily experience the difference. If you have the money to spend and is just a few inches away from dunking a basketball, you might want to try getting one of these.

Lets just say that as long as your league and school don't ban them.. they can really be a cool sneaker to talk and rave about.
